Hello, I use SHIFT DEL keys to permanently delete any Outlook Express messages that I want to delete. I've to close the message first by hitting the ESCAPE Key. Remember, it does NOT place the deleted message in the Deleted Messages Folder, but this Window's command PERMANENTLY DELETES the messages and/or files in other programs too instead of placing them in the Recycle Bin. Use discretion when using this combination of Murder Keys. <smiles> Amarjit ----- Original Message ----- From: Adrian Spratt To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, November 09, 2009 4:24 PM Subject: Re: not deleting messages Tracy, Not a cure, but you can probably delete a message with the single keystroke control-d. I also encounter difficulties deleting messages in OE. In my case, it's somehow linked to my having an Internet window open, though this, too, is inconsistent. Control-d usually works when the delete key won't. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tracy To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, November 09, 2009 6:19 PM Subject: Re: not deleting messages Ok. I was able to finally get rid of all the deleted messages. I still can't do a normal delete message though. I have to do shift delete and confirm in order to get rid of a message. Weird! I tried emptying the deleted messages folder and it won't work either. Tracy In God we trust! tracyduffy@xxxxxxxxx (that's also my messenger contact) Skype: trace.type.girl twitter.com/todayinbraille
