norton internet secu. 2007

hallo list,
i used norton internet security 2005 and upgraded it to 2007
when the installation was ready, it did not work.
i got several errors but could not do anything to repair them.
after some hours of rising stress, i fhoned a friend and when he was at my
place, i unloaded jfw and he could repair all errors.
is this happening to more of you and does somebody know how to solve this
problem without unloading jfw?
