Yes, I believe that you can still find XP Home.
If you get VISTA you will need at least 2 gig of ram.....

Hi,
some other people may have recommendations on the size of the hard drive and
memory. But, I believe you won't be able to run Vista, which you'll most
likely get on a new computer, without upgrading to JAWS 8. As far as I've
heard, Dell is the only company offering XP on some of their computers. I
don't know if you could get XP is you had a computer built.

Hi. I am in need for a new computer quite soon because I am running
an old one and running out of space.
I am wondering what people recommend to get these days.
I cannot afford to upgrade JAWS as well and am running 5.1.
Is vista okay?
What type of memory should I consider?
How big of a hard drive?
Any other thoughts?
