I bought my Dell in 2001. At that time they were using the Turtle Beach an
Sound Blaster cards. both of those will work well with jfw. It really
depends on what sound quality you want for your music as well as jfw. Most
reputable multi Channel sound cards will work with jaws.

Okay. First I am not a techie, and a lot of the numbers on hardware and
memory don't mean much to me.

As I said, we're buying a new computer and I need a bit of advice in terms
of making sure what we pick is compatible and won't be a problem for Jaws.

I kind of know the power specs we need, so I won't bother the list with
asking for what to buy in that regard. But when we look at memory for
example, I know DDR is okay, but what is DDR2 and is it still okay with
Jaws?

So far we've been experimenting with Del configurations online. What about
video cards? Are there any to stay away from? The only brand I know is
Invidia, and it doesn't seem to pop up as a choice on the Del site. I know
years back picking the right video card was crucial, and I'm just asking to
avoid a problem for Jaws.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Jean
