netbook problem

Hi,
I have a new Toshiba netbook and am using the Jaws laptop configuration where I am using the caps lock key as the Jaws key. It seems now that the caps lock key stays in "on" mode and I can't type in lower case unless I hit the shift key -- has anyone experienced this problem before?

I love this list. You are all so helpful.
Mary
