nero9 free or alternative burner and jfw

Hello,
Is anyone using nero9 free edition with jfw? If so, can you write
me? I'm trying to get it working in basic mode. I want to get it to erase an
rw disk and then to write another file out to it, erasing is where i'm
stuck. I'm also wondering if there are settings to improve accessibility,
tabs don't appear to be consistent.
If there's an alternative program i'm all for it.
