She was talking about the N dash. With insert numrow 4 for symbols, you can 
find - and - (Read by character.).

  In MS Word you type two dashes or minus signs what ever you call that key. 
When you move over it with Jaws you will hear it say N-.

    The keystroke I used in the subject line is quite common today in articles 
on the net and even the writings of private people.  I went to jaws key 4 and 
it does not exist there.  Does anyone know how to duplicate this symbol?  
Typing it out using the n plus the dash symbol is not proper.  Judith
