Thanks, Debbie. I vaguely remember reading about it many versions of Worord ago in the manual (when they used to actually provide printed manuals to sit down and read, which I could do at the time), but I never made use of it, and so it became a memory trace. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Debbie Scales" <debbie@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 19, 2006 10:46 AM Subject: Re: multiple copy command? Yes it is word that has the spike. There is a helpful hint on it in the word section at jfwlite Word - Spike Debbie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 19, 2006 1:40 PM Subject: Re: multiple copy command? Darn. I knew it wasn't the Insert key, but I couldn't remember which key the Freedom Sci guys had chosen for this combo. Thanks. I'll play with it a bit. I seem to remember there's been some confusion about knowing when copying one thing too many will clear the entire slate, rather than just replace the earliest thing copied, but I'll see how I do before asking more. didn't this feature used to be available in Word or something and called by the name of that old-fashioned office device , the spike, that some desk workers jammed things like telephone messages onto? Who was it had that spike function? Do you remember? Windows C. Got it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Debbie Scales" <debbie@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 19, 2006 10:29 AM Subject: Re: multiple copy command? Pretty cool, huh!!!!! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "JFW List" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 19, 2006 1:19 PM Subject: multiple copy command? Hi, I've just encountered my very first opportunity to make use of that new feature of Jaws 7 where you can copy a succession of things to the clipboard and then paste them all in at once, and I forgot the command and would much rather not have to spend half an hour looking through the What's New or other section of Help to remind myself what it is. I thought I remembered it being Insert control C, you know, just adding the Jaws key to the regular Windows command, but all that happens when I select text and press Insert control C is that I hear Jaws say "cleared." Cleared what? I have no idea. I want it to say "copied." what's the command? thanks. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
