Ah-ha, I found it. In View, under Current View, I have a Formatting
Columns selection. How I didn't spot this before is beyond me. Anyway,
I made some subtle changes there and both date and time are displayed
now. Awesome.

Hi. I've been trying to expand the date and time field as well.
Unchecking Folder List, Preview Pane, etc, didn't help me out. I didn't
find a way to specifically change the column width. I'll keep looking,
though.

Hey, on a side note, I just today discovered how to have JAWS speak the
date in a more friendly way. For example, when the date displays
4/18/2005 I now have JAWS set up to announce it as April 18th 2005.
Everyone else probably already knew about this setting but me, but if
not, and you're interested, here's what I did.

1. Do an Insert F2 and go to Configuration Manager.
2. Press Alt S to open Settings.
3. Arrow down to Text Processing.
4. Tab down to "Numeric Date Processing" where you have three
selections:
a. No Translation
b. Some Translation
c. Extended Translation
5. I Selected Extended Translation and entered on Okay, saved settings,
and then exited.

Now Jaws announces the dates in my messages the way I'd like to hear
them. What a cool feature. Hope this helps someone out.

Yes, instead of clicking on fields when you're customizing the current
view, I think the button you want is columns or column layout.
Somewhere in there it lets you specify specific column widths.

You'll get more space to work with if you turn off the folder list tree
view, the navigation pane, the preview pane, etc., so that all that's
left is the message list.
