Brandon,
If you ever figure this out I would love to read your full list. I'm assuming you mean something like Ay (A Y) for a long A. I remember having some problems figuring out how to instruct Jaws to pronounce a vowel with a short vowel sound when it's mispronouncing it with a long vowel sound, in some cases. Very frustrating. I wish in the dictionary they could just have a list of vowel sounds you could select from, and a way to just tell Jaws which syllable you want accented. Instead, you have to trial and error ways to cajole it to do what you want.

My suggestion for this sort of a simple interface where you can choose vowel sound and accent syllable number seems like such an obvious thing to do, that since they don't offer it maybe the way computers pronounce words through these sorts of programs is way off from my intuition of how it would be done.

Hello,
I'm taking a diction class and I'm trying to isolate vowel sounds with Jaws. So far I have been able to do 8 out of the 12, but I'm stumped on the vowel sound you find in put or book.
It should be two O's, but that just makes an oo sound.
I would love any help on this!
Thank you,
