Hi Troy - To get the / to speak, try this: 1) When you are in your application, press JAWS+F2. This will give you the list of JAWS managers. 2) arrow down until you get to "configuration Manager" and press ENTER. 3) Open the SET Options menu by pressing alt-s and arrow down until you find Customize Punctuation and press ENTER. 4) Arrow down until you hear the symbol of interest; in your case the / character. 5) press the space bar until you hear JAWS say "none". 6) tab to the OK button and press ENTER 7) press CTRL-s to save the configuration. Hopefully this should make your / talk. From: "Troy Burnham" <homerun@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: making Jaws speak the forward slash Date: Thu, 15 Mar 2007 09:11:54 -0500 Hi All, The program that I use for my job was upgraded last week as were the scripts and frames that we use to make Jaws work correctly, and since I have upgraded Jaws isn't speaking the forward slashes when reading in say-all mode. It was doing this before the upgrade and I always set my punctuation on none, does anybody know what adjustment I need to make to get the slashes to be spoken again? Thanks.
