Hi you can solve this problem quite simply. Press the start button. Open the all programs menu. Open the jaws 8 sub-menu Open the explore jaws sub-menu. Select the explore my settings menu item. Now in this folder you will find files that have a name of default. Delete all the files in this folder with the name default. Accept for the jaws configuration file. Restart jaws. Problem will be solved. Note now you will need to make the changes to the default file to add skype watch back etc. Hth -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Julie & Miss Mercy, avon representative Sent: Friday, April 20, 2007 2:37 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: major problems with say all in new JAWS update I know this is an old message but I got behind in my mail and am just now seeing this. I have that problem with the latest JAWS, too, but I have installed all updates, so I know that's not the issue with me. I revert back to 7.10 when I want to read my email, which is a pain in the rear, but that's how I do it for now. I agree with you that uninstalling and reinstalling may be your best bet. I've tried doing updates as you described and ran into trouble with files not being copied properly or something similar, so I'm once bitten, twice shy. These days, I just download the whole thing and run the full install. I did that today and ran the full install right over the top of build 423; so far everything's cool, or at least I don't hear the time bomb ticking. <g> Tom ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Skarstad" <toonhead@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 28, 2007 7:50 PM Subject: major problems with say all in new JAWS update > Hi folks > > Well, I updated to the new JAWS release today, and unfortunately, it > was a disaster.
