Narrator; Hold down the Windows key and press U.
AVG; There will be no problem with the installation of AVG 8.0, the problem comes when you want to go into the program, you have to start it without Jaws, either with Narrator, Window Eyes or by focusing on the Desk top icon, unloading Jaws, using Window Key plus M to make sure you are still focused on the AVG icon, pressing enter to start AVG and then reload Jaws. You will also have to use the Jaws cursor to navigate some of the settings in AVG. 
I understand that the producers of AVG are working to resolve this problem.

Yes, thanks it helps, but I have 2 questions:
1 I cannot remember how to start Windows Narrator! In Fact I do not think 
I have ever used it to substitute Jaws in situations like the one here.

2  I assume this "usage" of
Windows Narrator will be a once off - just to get AVG 8.0 Free Edition
installed?

It is an excellent antivirus program. there is unfortunately a problem with 
the user interface and jaws. To solve this problem you will need to do the
following, one. Exit jaws. two. Start narrator.  Three. start the user
interface for AVG. for. Exit narrator.
Five restart jaws.  Hope this helps

Hi All
I got a message last night on my computer stating that AVG 7.5 Free Edition 
will not be updated after 31 May.

I checked and saw that there indeed is an AVG 8.0 Free Edition available.

I am using Windows Xp Home and the latest version of Jaws 9.
Does the AVG 8.0 free edition work as well with Jaws 9 as AVG 7.5 did and is 
it still a good free anti virus program to use or are there better free
ones?
