Hi,
OPen keyboard manager with Jawskey+8 on the numbers row, Arrow up to
default, tab to the list of keys and press j till you hear jaws key, press
alt+a and press enter on add keystroke,
press the key stroke you want to add and press enter. Confirm and close.

I think it would work better than the Capslock key (for me at any rate).
