Hi there, Yes, I've done that already at Best Buy.I would go for either Toshiba Satellite or Sony VAIO. If you are a PAC Mate user (which you are not, then the Toshiba laptop might be a good one to start with, since its keyboard resembles that of PAC Mate QX (the Insert key is located to the right of the SPACEBAR). I would personally go with Toshiba (even though it is same model, Toshiba offers various options as to the size of the hard drive, processinr, RAM amount, etc.). Sony VAIO laptops are also good. I would recommend at least the following: * Processor: I recommend that you get a laptop with dual core processor to maximize power and speed. Probably a laptop with Intel Core II Duo T7200 or higher or AMD's dual core processor-based laptops will work. * RAM: I recommend that you get at least 1 GB of RAM (2 GB is recommended). * Hard disk: I recommend at least 80 GB hard disk with 5400 RPM drive. * Windows version: I highly recommend Vista Home Premium or Ultimate (if you are into heavy multitasking or multimedia). This is just my opinion. But in terms of brand I highly recommend either Toshiba or Sony (HP is a good brand to consider).
Cheers, Joseph

I want to get a laptop before I can no longer get one with XP.
I'm
interested in the Del, Lenovo ThinkPad's, and the business HP
systems. I'm
going to use them for Sonar so will be paying a bit more for
faster drives
and dedicated graphics.
I'm curious which ones people like with Jaws. I want to be sure
I get one
that doesn't have to use a darn fn key to do a lot of things.
Has anyone
had a chance to check out current laptop keyboards to see which
work best
with Jaws?
Thanks.
Bob
