All you do is tab to you get to the list of programs and then errow down to the one you wish to remove. When you hear the name read to you, then tab until you hear the button you wish to perform. Fyi, jaws does not read the highlited program because there is no means to highlite it. I mean no check box or anything. What happens when you errow through the programs, which ever one is read for you is highlited with the color, (defalt blue just highliting text in a document). This is how the item is highlited. This is why when you hear the program that you wish to remove or etc. then tab to the button you wish to perform and hit enter. This is done because you can only remove or what ever you wish to do to only program at a time in this function. hth -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Joy Sent: Friday, July 22, 2005 08:01 To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: jaws/add remove Hi, I am using windows XP and jaws 6 and I cannot delete an item from the add remove programs in the control panel. In the list of programs jaws says each one is unselected and when I press the space bar to select an item, it still doesn't work. I was wondering if there is some sort of setting within the control panel that I need to change. I have this problem on 2 different computers using different versions of jaws.
