Actually I've noticed that JAWS 12 loads faster than does JAWS 11. Speech rate 
is adjustable, so I presume that's not your question.

   I wonder if Jaws 12 is slow to speak for others, using XP laptop at 
moment,the music comes on fast,so it loads but takes ages before Jaws speaks, I 
do have jaws 11on andnvda ,in case but is Jaws 12 taking longer than most to 
speak? my task bar and system tray do not seem overloaded thanks Dorothy
