2 things
first i would try lowering the display setting from 80 to something lower
second
in taskbar and start menu
make sure only two things are checked
keep taskbar on top
and the clock
if these are the only things that are checked
then uncheck one and rechecked then tab to apply
and see if that makes a difference when the reading menus

I don't know what I did but something could have happened when I recompiled
some skype scripts in the default.jss file. Here is what is going wrong.
When I go to windows messenger, I will hear online 2; not online 8. If I up
and down arrow, I hear nothing. Last night when I set up jaws 7, I went into
the advanced verbosity options to set a few things and when I used the up
and down arrow it would keep reading the first line. When I went in to
outlook express, instead of saying inbox, sent items, deleted items, it
would say "1 of 4" when using the up and down arrow. Also when I hit alt3
while in a message it will say "how to use jaws scripting' or jaws list
instead of saying "to
jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I tried running a repair on jaws
and this is jaws version 6 that I am using and after the computer restarted
the num key pad would not work. Whether in num lock on or off it would still
say "num 8" if I tried to read a line. After I turned off the computer and
turned it back on it worked okay and I got some of the up and down arrow
usage back but in windows messenger it will still say online 3 not online 8
and not say anything when I use the up and down arrows. I have jaws 7 up and
running and it does the same thing so it is not jaws. I went to the jfwlite
home page and went through the recommendations for windows xp and they are
fine. also, when I restart the computer and up and down with the jaws cursor,
bits and pieces of the items on the desk top are spoken on one line. for
example, it will say internet recycle bin explorer. it also said minimize
button and nothing would happen when i tried to click that button. My colors
are set to 80 percent and 32 bit. What is happening.
