Hi,
As far as I can tell the windows key + c only works with jaws. I tried it
with version 5.1 and it did not work. It only worked with version 7.1. If
you turn on the keyboard help and hold down the windows key and tap C twice
you will hear that it is part of the freedom clipboard. At least that is
what mine states.

The only thing that I would add to what you wrote Judith is that for the
first time you should use control + C to remove anything on the clipboard.
Then you can use the windows key + c to append what you have already clipped
and all will be on the clipboard.

FYI check out the jaws help documentation to find out further information
about using this keyboard command. This is where I first learned of this
very nifty and useful key stroke.

I do believe that there is a way to modify windows to accomplish this same
feat but do not know how to do so.

Rich

  Judith,
I know that, and I assumed he probably remembered it, too. My question
is,
is this a modification of the Windows clipboard by way of clever jaws
programming, or is it a clipboard that's proprietary to jaws. He was
asking
about what I said on this, not about this Jaws feature you describe.

Rich, I think the feature you are referring to is appending the clipboard.
For example, if you have a list of phone numbers and want to take all of
them individually from different sources and eventually paste them in one
document this is what you do.
  1. Select one of the names and numbers you want to put in your list.
  2. To select it to the clipboard using the simultaneous keystroke of
windows key and the letter C.

Do this repeatedly until you have all your names selected and paste all of
them into your document with the usual keystroke of control v.

To get out of your accumulated names or whatever list is being appended in
your clipboard, just select anything and copy it with control C at which
time you will be asked if you want to terminate the append function. hth,
  Judith
