actually, I would appreciate you posted this fix publically as I have also encountered the problem in which jaws crashed and I lost speech but the jfw.exe remained running in task manager and jaws would not reload. I was not able to kill the process using narrator and only knew that jfw.exe was running still because my sighted husband looked and told me.
