Vy,

If I understand your question correctly, I think this post from
Cathy Anne will do what you want.

1. open the tools menu
2. press etner on "autocorrect"
3. Press control + tab one time to access the "autoformat as you type"
property sheet.
4. Tab to "automatic bulleted lists" and uncheck it with the spacebar
5. tab to "automatic numbered lists" and uncheck it with the spacebar.
6. press enter

    Hope this helps,
Margaret

Hi,
Can someone please tell me how to turn off some of the automatic
things that microsoft word would do. For example, when I have a number
one on top, and
then I hit the enter key. the number 2 will appear on the screen,
sometimes this can be confusing, which is why I want to turn it off.
Where should I go
to turn off this feature?
Thanks.
