also look in the system tray insert f11,
the more things that are there, the slower your machine, may be running
like, real player, game channel, scanner, printer,
there is no reason for them to be running when you start up your computer,
when you need to use them, turn them on and they run
I have noticed on a few new systems including my own there are a lot of
programs loaded, that are visual, and
I can't use them
cause they are not, jaws compatible,
a 9 in 1 media center, as I tried to navigate one at a time
and find out, if jaws will allow me to
use the program if I can't I, uninstall it,
now my machine boots up, in about 30 seconds,

if you run ad aware , in its report, it will tell you how many processes are
running
you might also think about loading start up manager from the jfw lite web
site
and use it to selectively turn off running programs
until your machine is lean and mean
there are processes that can also, be safely turned off in msconfig
one at a time,

The version of jaws *does not* effect the startup speed.

Things like what else is trying to start at the same time, how fast your
processor and hard drive are, how much memory you have, those are the
types of things to look at.
