Hi Lister,
You could try and save the most inportant material on a cd or dvd if you 
have any photos.  I did that and then deleted alot of items out of my 
documents freeing up some space that way.  Also what I do when i listen to 
either blind radio or acb radio is quit jaws.  Then when I want to check my 
e-mails I do ault f4 close out what I am listening to and then reload jaws 
and go through my e-mails, also doing insert key and escape key will refresh
