Gene,

For me, Jaws does not say that times are selected here. It simply doesn't
make any such announcements. Plus it takes more knowledge and intuition
than you are acknowledging, I think, to even know what to do if you *do*
know that the items are preselected by default, which I didn't until a
sighted friend told me so. You have to be fairly clever and experienced to
understand that this means, lacking vocalization that there's a checkbox in
one state or another associated with each item, that you can uncheck
something by pressing the spacebar when you're on it, and be sure to
remember what you've done in case you have second thoughts or need to review
the list before going ahead. I'm not being silly about this, or wimpy, but
you seem oddly obdurate (or is it simply sort of macho?) to say it's no
problem. What's going on? You don't believe me? Is that it, maybe? You
don't think it's an effort for some people to intuit a situation like this
and then hold in memory every keystroke they make because nothing's being
spoken? I'm puzzled at your lack of empathy on this. I didn't say
"sympathy," just "empathy." Meaning you don't seem to believe the
experience I'm describing. Please believe it. Again, I'm really glad you
have this drill hammered, and I'm simmply teaching myself another one of
those "fly by the seat of the pants" tricks when the screen reader isn't
telling you most of what you need to know in the situation. I'm game, just
saying it's a learning effort, that's all.

Daniel

No... but I already know that all items are selected because the previous
lines in the dialog box said so. I don't see the confusion here. They are
all selected unless you unselect them.

Thanks; Gene
