I use jaws 8 with IE 7, just tried it, and it works just fine here.

  It's not in IE6 using JAWS7.10, at least here.  Google comes up as normal on 
the Edit field.  Maybe all you need do is hit ctrl-insert-home and enter.

    This bug is in the latest version of jaws 7.1, as I've experienced this in 
    many sites when typing in forms in IE7. I"m not sure if it's in ie6, but in 
    firefox, it works fine.
