Judith,

I believe the listers advising you here are unaware how you began this line of questions. As I recall, you're using JAWS 7 at home and expect to be using JAWS 8 at a job site. I don't know if JAWS 8 will have been installed for you. What you apparently missed when JAWS 8 was released is that it comes with SAPI5 voices that you can add to your system when installing the updated program. Because that development is unfamiliar to you, I suggest you look at FS's discussion of updates, probably also located on that CD and surely available at

www.freedomscientific.com

Also, follow the archive link at the end of this message thread and search through the digest for the many useful suggestions listers made at the time. I opted not to install those voices, so I can't offer any more suggestions. Even if I could, you need to familiarize yourself with this aspect of JAWS 8 on your own in order to gain a comprehensive understanding before seeking help.

I never had to use an additional synthesizer for say all. I don't even know which one I have! I use say all mode all the time. How do I access sappy
5?

Hi, if you have IE7, that would be improved. You can use a SAPI5 synthesizer during say all. Can't remember anything else, but when you first use JAWS 8, check out the what's new section of JAWS help. Hope that helps, and good luck in your new job.
