Hi Chris,
I really don't too much with 4.51. It sometimes gets knocked out, but they all do that from what I have been told, none of the Jaws versions are perfect, there has been something with every version they have come out with, I think they add more stuff that really doesn't make Jaws work any better, just more features. Its like the different between a 68 Chevy Impala and a 69 Chevy Impala, there aren't any more features just a different style. Some commands with Jaws on 4.51 and 6.0 are there just different key strokes, if it works don't fix it. Dave Hutchins Missouri State Coordinator for the NFB Imagation Fund

Wow, if it were me I'd be installing JAWS 6 right away, because that worked a hell of a lot better tthan 4.51 did for me.

My computers are always configured correctly for JAWS, and, I'm afraid that I have to agree with those who think the older versions of JAWS were more stable. I have a lot of crashes with a Dell P4 1.8 GHZ XP Pro with 768 Ram. And, a lot of them are simply when moving through a list of folders/files like the original post described. I had fewer problems with both JAWS4.51 and with 5.02.

If you leave them as is from the factory, you may have problems. I posted a link to this help on the Freedom Scientific website yesterday.
