Judith, the punctuation settings are found in the jaws configuration manager.
Insert (jaws key) 6 on the number row keys.
Press the alt key to bring up your menus.
Arrow down till you hear default.jcf or anything with the word default to make
global changes.
Press the right arrow once to go to the set options menu.
Down arrow about 4 times until you hear "customize punctuation" and make your
changes there.
Or, another very easy option is from within the same set options menu,
arrow down I believe it is 14 times until you hear "synthesizer options..." and
press enter here.
Here you will have a choice of none, some, most or all punctuation spoken.
Hope I have not missed any steps--I have just gone through the process myself
so hope I have made things clear enough.

Well, I just installed jaws 7 and it is working except for one problem. On
jaws 5.1 jaws spoke all the punctuation but its not speaking that now. Can
someone send me the instructions to get back the punctuation? Thanks,
