Hi, MSN 6.2 does not work for me either with Jaws 6101006u_ILM.  When I
install Jaws, 6101006u_ILM, MSN 6.2 stops reading everything with the
jaws curser or anything.  Even uninstalling Jaws 6101006u_ILM does not
let the other versions on my computer work any longer with MSN 6.2, it
breaks them also.  The only thing I can do is to uninstall all versions
of jaws, clean the registry and start new with the only version that
does work with MSN 6.2, which is jaws6.0.  I have talked to freedom
scientific and the first time they told me to hit the alt key twice and
this would fix it, well guess what it did not, and even if it did, it is
not an acceptable fix for me.  The second person I talked to said that
this was a known problem and their working on it, finally the third
person I talked to said it is not a problem and no one else has reported
it which I know is an absolute lie as I have talked to at least three
other people who have reported the exact same problem using Jaws
6101006u_ILM and had to go back to jaws 6.0as well.  To me MSN messenger
is one of the most important programs since it is how I keep in touch
with many people around the world, and business associates; but since it
is not high on the state agencies list, it gets very little attention
from freedom scientific.  The least I would expect from a product that
costs so much which I am paying out of my pocket is to keep the features
it already has working before releasing a half baked, bug riddled
product.  I encourage anyone who is having this problem to report it.
At the very least, I expect a company to acknowledge that there is a
problem and not to just deny it exists and hope it goes away.  The last
person I talked to wanted me to install Jaws 6101006u_ILM so he can hear
it does not work with MSN 6.2, which I refused, I'm not stupid and have
been through this 3 times with the same results and will not install a
product that is going to cause me to have to uninstall all versions of
jaws, clean the registry and go back to jaws 6.0, go through making all
the settings right again; the last version that actually works with MSN
6.2.  If people do not start complaining to some of these state agencies
who have the contracts nothing will ever get done.  If you think Freedom
Scientific cares about the average user who pays our of their pocket
your extremely mistaken, the only way we will ever get them to improve
and care about their average customers is to complain to the government
agencies who are allowing them to treat us this way by giving them
contracts I feel they do not deserve as long as they keep putting out
junk.  My school has already switched to MAC, which comes with a full
screen reader free right out of the box and window eyes is catching up
on the office programs.  In short writing to freedom scientific is going
to get you nothing more than a blow off which frankly is insulting to
me, complain to your state agencies, senators anyone but freedom
scientific if you ever want them to listen to the average user.  They
make their product for government contracts and could care less about
you and I who pay for this over priced product out of our pocket.

Also, since XP and XP pro are essentially the same why are we still
paying higher price for XP pro, they do not have to do any more than
they already do to make jaws work with any versions of XP; I can tell
you why it is because mostly government agencies use XP pro so they know
that they can charge more and the government will pay extra for it while
they do absolutely no extra work at all to make it work with any XP
version.  I intend to call every state agency I can, my senator and
congressional representative; if we do not make noise we will not be
heard since we are the minority we must join to get any changes made or
keep getting bug filled over charged products.  Nothing is changing the
way were doing things now, it is time to go in a different direction and
hit them in their pockets which is the only thing that they actually
give a damn about.  I for one am sick of paying for products full of
bugs and workarounds for formally working applications and intend to
take action more than calling freedom scientific, which ultimately will
get you nowhere.
