Chris, if I select an item and then right arrow, this doesn't show me status info but it takes me to another item in my list. For instance, if I select an item numbered 14 and then right arrow, it will go to, say, file 20 because the items are in a list view sorted by name. Is there something I left out or did you mean a different key for taking me to the status line? Thanks. You will see that the information is presented in a more accessible format, i.e., read only fields instead of text that can only be seen with the status bar. Also, if you down arrow from that position it will remain in that position. Explorer is kind of in an Excel layout now. I used insert plus the number 3 on num pad and it would give me info such as the album or song length info, etc. Now it just says one item selected. Is this just one of those things we won't be able to do any more since Windows 7, along with some other things I can't get Jaws to do anymore? In my folder views I have status bar checked, which I thought may help with the reading of status line. But it doesn't work. Just wondering if someone might know if this can be fixed.
