I say netbooks are just underpowered and (insert language here), as they only have a slow processor and very little ram+running windows 7 home basic most of the time. Mind you, this is coming from someone who is currently running at least 7 applications at any one time, so when I did have a netbook it could never handle it. I wish you would just quit any sort of attention to me, but it looks like neither one of us is going to get there wish. there are several people who if they had said that I would retract my statement and thank them for there updated info, but he isn't, and you especially are not! among them! you earn my respect, I don't give it out freely, that's a waist of effort and mental energy most times. hope you know what G.F.I.D. means! inthane ----- Original Message ----- From: Adrian Spratt <mailto:Adrian@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, March 24, 2011 8:41 PM Subject: RE: jaws 11 and net books Yesterday you dismissed what Charles said about netbooks. This morning the Wall Street Journal confirmed that netbook production is down. Now you're saying "Don't pay attention" to his experience? You have a lot to contribute, but you're also often wrong. I wish you'd show more respect. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of The Elf Sent: Thursday, March 24, 2011 11:15 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: jaws 11 and net books and my opinion is don't pay attention to this, ah netbook two processors available, and only one is a winner... elf Moderator, Blind Access Help Owner: Alacorn Computer Enterprises Specialists in customized computers and peripherals - own the might and majesty of a Alacorn! www.alacorncomputer.com proprietor, The Grab Bag, for blind computer users and programmers http://grabbag.alacorncomputer.com ----- Original Message ----- From: Charles To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, March 23, 2011 4:41 PM Subject: Re: jaws 11 and net books also do not by a netbook with the ATOM processor! Look for one without crap software. If your options are limited, go with one that 1 have a comfortable keyboard to type. That includes all the keys you want. 2 Try to get one wiout crap software like hp media, hp security, sony disk whatever. The less software instal on it, the better. and 3, try to look for one with at least a 2GB ram and an intel procesor. AMD is great, but they eat your battery like there is no tomorrow. Also you will have to set jaws to a laptop keyboard. It is a learning curve. ----- Original Message ----- From: carlos g To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, March 22, 2011 6:39 PM Subject: jaws 11 and net books Hi list, My name is Carlos I am new to the list.
