Re: issue with research it and the new jfw update

All,

Fixed my ResearchIt problems. First, just to clear things up so that there
is no uncertainty, I had installed, and verified that, I was using JAWS
11.0.1430.

However ResearchIt continued to work the same as before the update -- no
change in the dialog.

I had used the downloaded file for the update, since the "check for Updates"
feature failed to work.

So what did I do to fix the problem? I re-ran the install file and selected
"Repair". Of course it destroyed all my default configurations and Voice
profiles, but the ResearchIt now works as Roy and others have contended that
it would.

I don't know if it would have fixed if I had just done a new install, but
I'm not about to muck with it, now that it's working.

So if you find that anything does not work as advertised, just reinstall
JAWS. That's usually what FS Tech Support says to do, in any case.

Dave

Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit? XP or Windows 7?

you don't have to clear the edit field just start typeing new text. also it
keeps a history so in the edit field use the arrow keys.
Check out the latest FSCast for a demonstration.
