Sounds like the scripts might need some modifying to fix this. Someone who knows more about Jaws scripting than me might be able to help you with that. If there's no one on this list, then try the Jaws scripts list. ----- Original Message ----- From: "james h" <aradioman@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, November 11, 2006 2:00 AM Subject: Re: interesting question okay it did it the main thing i am having is when i arrow through the messages jaws for whatever reason repeats the message twice ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Britt" <swimmer953@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, November 11, 2006 12:42 AM Subject: Re: interesting question When you're in AIM, do an insert-0. This will put you in the AIM scripts. Do a control-s to compile the scripts. You'll either be notified that you have a clean compile or an error. If you have a clean compile, an alt-f4 will take you out of the scripts. If you get an error, hit enter on the okay prompt, and alt-f4 to get out of the scripts. Let me know if you get an error. ----- Original Message ----- From: "james h" <aradioman@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, November 11, 2006 1:27 AM Subject: Re: interesting question what's the easiest way to recompile. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Britt" <swimmer953@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, November 11, 2006 12:05 AM Subject: Re: interesting question James, try recompiling your AIM scripts and see if these things still happen. If so, then you might check to see if there are newer scripts available. I admire anyone who can still use AIM with the current Jaws version. For the short time I had it, I was encountering focus issues with it, so I had to uninstall it. Of course, that was awhile back, and the software may have changed since then. ----- Original Message ----- From: "james h" <aradioman@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 09, 2006 10:07 AM Subject: interesting question okay using jaws 7.1 and am having a weird situation with aim version 5.9 and am wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. 2 things. 1 seems that after reading a message or when tabbing to the edit field jaws says space and second often times it reads things twice. my msn happy_james_2454@xxxxxxxxxxx aim GoldenVoice1954 -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
