In my experience, it is best to leave the default factory profile alone, and save a new profile. After saving the new profile, it is necessary to go into the 'select profile' option, and select the program you want to use the profile for. This way, the factory profile remains available for you in the future, should you want to revert to it. One important thing is to not make the new profile the default, unless you want that profile loaded when jaws starts up, and to be global when no profile is used for a program. HTH. Basicly I want to know how to change the speach rate in this case I want to increase it as I am kind of getting use to the faster rate and I quite like it. I know how to change the rate but the thing that is puzzleing me is that when I have ajusted my settings and go to overright the old factory settings to be replace with the new one it puts in a new profile so I have 2 instead of 1 if you see what I mean. Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to do this? I really don't understand the hole of this profile thing. Many Thanks Daniel
