fran. I have qwest dsl and one time I could only get to certain web pages
and not to others. I went completely crazy and was ready to be transported
to the loonie bin. Qwest kept telling me that there was something wrong
with my computer and that there was some spyware on the computer. Well even
after david Poelman got me to run adaware it still wouldn't work. So we
hooked up the old dial up modem and I borrowed someone else's account and
got on to the net that way and was able to go to any web page I wanted to. I
told qwest this and they sent a technician out. It took him a minute to fix
this. I had what is called a dynamic ip address. This means that my address
(not my email address but some sort of address changes every six months or
so) Anyway, this address changed and my computer didn't pick it up and
therefore, I couldn't get email or get around on the net.
