ah, here's a new twist! So you're saying that you can tell that Jaws is
loading, but it won't function? So you first have to exit the program, then
launch it again, whereupon it speaks? How is it that you know it's running
to begin with, if it isn't speaking? and if it's running, why won't it
speak?

Hmm, I thought that as a service meant that it was loaded from the
registry somewhere. Anyway, the fact is, that it isn't talking and
she must unload it, and then load it again for it to speak.
Thanks for ideas. She's frustrated by it not speaking, and all those
steps she must do ... etc. :)
