hello, have your friend try;
1, desktop,
2, highlight my computer press enter.
3,alt v for view.
4, down arrow, and enter on list.
5. Press ALT+T to open the Tools menu.
6. Press O to open the Folder Options Dialog.
7. Press CTRL+TAB to move to the View page.
8. Press SPACEBAR to activate the "Apply to all folders" button, and press
SPACEBAR on the YES button to acknowledge this change.
9. Move to the OK button and press SPACEBAR to close this dialog box.

I have told my friend about the alt v and l command for list view, but
shouldn't there be something perhaps in folder options that should also be
checked so she won't have to do this every time she opens a folder? Because
it's happening with every list she tries to open up and I thought there was
a fix for this so it'd automatically stay checked in list view. Thanks for
any input.
