Go to speech and sounds manager, and tab down to Scheme 7, "colors." There is at least one other that mentions color, along with one or two other attributes, but this ought to do it. Of course, you can easily change back to classic, or whatever you're using now for Excel, once the immediate need is past. In this case it is blue. How do I check to make sure the shading is blue and I did not accidentally shade the cell a different color. I am wanting to verify that the cell is shaded the correct color before I turn it in for a grade. I do not have access to sighted help until after the document is due to be turned in. Thanks for your help. Alicia "The chief handicap of the blind is not blindness, but the attitude of >seeing people towards them." >- Helen Keller, 1925
