Actually, it doesn't matter if you remove a flash drive, as long as you're not transfering data at that time. You should always safely remove hard drives no matter what..

Thank you very much for telling me how to do that. What would happen if you did not remove the flash drive correctly? I have been only using this flash drive for 1 week because it is brand new; however, I have not been safely removing the flash drive from my computer because of course I did not know you were supposed to remove it safely.

hi Alicia,

you have 2 way to do this,

1. press "JawsKey+f11" for system tray. look for the icon call "Savely Remove hardware", then press "alt+d" for left double mouse
click, then will pop-up a list of your removeable device then select and press enter.

2. go to "my computer", look for the drive letter for your removeable device and press "applicationKey" then press letter "j" for
eject. then after that you can savely remove your device.

Hello, Everyone:

I was told today at school that you have to click on this green arrow in order to properly remove a flash drive from the USB port
safely. Does anyone know if that is true and if so how do you click this graphic with JAWS?

Thanks,

Alicia
