Kelly, I thought that what you're describing is how we navigate in a *combo box,* not a list box. Unless you're using the two terms interchangeably, and would only say "list" if you meant what I'm thinking of. Know what I mean? Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kelly Ford" <kelly@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, March 25, 2007 2:16 PM Subject: Re: explaining to someone how to make their website accessible Troy, If you expand the selection list first, do you get kicked out of forms mode? By expand I mean use alt+down arrow after you turn on forms mode? I just tried this and didn't get kicked out. the problem here is that some selection lists use a technique that submits the form on a change. This means that when the user changes the selection in the form, that value is submitted. The solution here is not to do this and require the user to hit an actual submit/go button of some form. That said, typically the alt+down arrow expand box will work because then the selection control will let you arrow up and down and not submit the change until you tab away.
