I asked about purchasing a dongle a couple of weeks ago when calling FS about purchasing some thing for my PAC Mate, and was told I had to qualify for one. Now, with a low battery on my cell phone, and not much time left on my lunch half hour, I told the guy I was speaking with at the time that I wouldn't pursue the matter. But, I was a bit surprised that one had to qualify for one, seeing as one could of course only use it on one computer at a time, and of course it did cost a bit more money. So, does anyone know what the qualifications are to be able to purchase a dongle? I also have two computers, have them for home use, had a backup floppy authorization disk, and thus was quite happy with the peace of mind that gave me for weekends and the like. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill" <bill.cam@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, April 11, 2005 8:00 PM Subject: RE: Well folks, I tried! my reactions are not as drastic but do have to wonder why the change from 5 keys down to 3. when i bought jfw i actually considerred win bridge back then, one reason i picked jfw, windows bridge gave one less keys. five seemed an adequate number for a hobbiest like me and even left me having a backup key. now only 3, do not understand that move at all. for those with only one p c 3 may be adequate. its not enough for me however. because i change my hardware often i am giving consideration to a hardware dongle for my full tower. still thats another expense. but it is insurance i can get jfw running even when their not open. bill -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
