hello Stephen!

As I did, that's ok. But, please don't not full the plug if you are still
accessing the drive. Remove first the external drive than, that's the time you
can pull out the plug.

Blade

Subject: disconnecting external u s b hard drives

  hello list.

i have 2 external hard drives connected to my pc via a powered u s b hub.

  my question is this:

in my search for faster start up and shut down times i am wanting to
disconnect the drives prior to start up and also before shut down.

is it ok just to pull the u s b 2.0 cables out from the powered hub?

any help or advice is appreciated.

  stephen
