I could never figure out how to disable the custom GUI from within the
program, but if you're familiar with editing the registry (and with what
can happen if you do so incorrectly), it's possible to modify a key and
disable the custom GUI. More information here:

Nod32 is an antivirus program made by ESET. It uses a custom method for
providing graphics which makes the Nod32 Control Center less accessible
with JFW than I might like. It's possible to use the interface to change
this, but it's so much easier to just change one registry value. Set
this key to 0.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Eset\Nod\CurrentVersion\Common\GraphicMode
