correct way to assign keystorkes using keyboard manager?

Hi,
IN Keyboard Manager (insert 8), after one uses
control shift d
tabs
and finds the keystroke one wantsto assign a keystroke for,
and hits "control a" to add keystroke,
then what?
Should one hit"Enter" immediately after typing in the keystroke you wish to add or should one tab to "O K" and press Enter?
