no, this conversation started out by someone asking how to get a spell 
checker for oe.  The person has said that they didn't want originally to pay 
the extra 29 dollars for word, does that tell you anything about the 
circumstances?

As I recall this conversation started by someone pointing out a good
deal on an MS Office bundle.  I thought I had an even better deal to
point out, but you didn't seem to care for it.

I'm not trying to delve into your personal situation; but, it's going to
be inevitable that items which cost more than some people can afford are
going to be discussed from time-to-time on this list (along with their
price).  I don't think we can avoid such discussions or recommendations
because someone here on the list can't afford it.  Of course when the
person asking for help asks us for less expensive alternatives, that's
the time for all good points like yours to be brought out.
