What do people mean, there isn't any keystroke? Please explain. I don't know any Jaws function that isn't accomplished with keystrokes. Will someone simply say how this is done? Thank you very much. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Allan Wong" <allanwkf@xxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, March 31, 2006 8:33 AM Subject: Re: copying email sender's address no, the reply direct to sender is already there since jaws 7.0 but only FS didn't asign any keystroke for it. you have to do it manually. The problem was, and in this message, still is, that it has sounded as if we're being instructed to press alt 1 twice, in rapid succession. In other words, alt 1, alt 1. Whereas what you really mean is to hold down the alt key and press 1 twice, rapidly. See? anyway, some nice person on the list realized immediately what it was that had confused me, and wrote privately to explain, and of course that took care of it. Thank you for your helpful response. and this person also told me that the reply to sender command is available only in the Jaws 7.1 update, coming soon. ----- Original Message ----- From: "RCZ Enterprise" <info.rczenterprise@xxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, March 31, 2006 7:46 PM Subject: Re: copying email sender's address Hello there! yes, pressing alt + 1, will read the sender's email address only, but, if you will press 1 twice in rapid mode, JAWS will focus you to the from field which you can copy the content of the from field. you can check this out if you want. Assuming you are reading this e mail, 1. Press Alt + 1, JAWS will announce, "From RCZ Enterprise". 2. Try to do a say line command, insert + 8, JAWS will announce the line where the cursor located. Meaning, JAWS is not focus to the from field. 3. Now, do the other way, press alt + 1 twice in rapid mode. Jaws will announce, "From read only Edit, RCZ Enterprise". Do the same thing, do a say line command, Does Jaws announce the same information when you press alt + 1 twice in rapid mode? Here you can copy the content of the from field. Just do Shift + End key to highlight the whole line, and do a copy command, ctrl + C, and paste it whenever you want. Please let me know if you did not make it. Press Alt 1 twice in rapid succession? That doesn't do anything different for me than pressing it only once. It takes me to the From field of the header, to which I could also have gotten by Shift tabbing a few times up from the message. Once there, if I select the entire contents of that field and copy it to clipboard, I can paste it into the To field of a new message, and it will work just as if it were a "real" email address, because that's what is underneath, say, Harry Bates in code. Just copy and paste whatever is in the From field, and it will work as if you'd typed the address in there. Now, could you please explain what pressing alt 1 twice quickly is supposed to accomplish? I'm not sure what you meant. Maybe I misunderstood what you're trying to show. Thanks. taped particu ----- Original Message ----- From: "harry bates" <hdbates@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2006 1:27 PM Subject: copying email sender's address Thanks for this tip! ----- Original Message ----- From: RCZ Enterprise To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, March 31, 2006 7:47 AM Subject: Re: Re[2]: Soul seek scripts yes, you are right, but, if you will press alt + 1 twice in rapid press, you can copy the sender address and copy to a new message.
