Have you checked your Windows sound output in the second computer? You can use your Windows Narrator to find out. If narrator doesn't talk, then maybe your Windows sound is set to mute, or something happened to your sound card (corrupted driver or some defective component). If you get sound feedback from narrator, go to your Device Manager and make sure your sound card is functioning properly. Repairing Jaws will be simply easier and faster using the installation software. If you need detailed info on connecting two computers for file sharing, accessing, etc, contact me off list. Good luck! One of these machines has quit talking. Is it possible to connect them together either via serial, parallel, USB, firewire cable so that the talking computer can be used to control the one that has stopped talking so as to diagnose the problem? If so, how?
