Well, Ed, I feel you there. As far as buying another computer is concerned, it seems that shortly after you walk out of the computer store it is already obsolete. Go figure.

As far as jaws is concerned, I think that Freedom Scientific seems to have a minoplee. You would have to be rich as well as blind to be able to afford that stuff. I think Window Eyes might be easier on the pocket book. It may be about $400 or so.

Many people would share their copies of jaws in the past because they knew how expensive that was. If you were getting it for the first time and there was no agency providing the funds, you just couldn't get it.

Hello!

Thanks for responding to my message. As stated in my first message, I am trying to learn something about MVDA. I have never heard of it until a message yesterday and am trying to set up a computer which will last me for a long, long time.

I know exactly what you mean about medical costs still driving our personal expense accounts deeper and deeper into the red.

Where can I find information concerning this program? I am trying to scrounge up enough funds to have a friend who built this computer I am using 7 years ago and although it is still working like a dream, I want to have him build a new one for me to be ready to take over when this one finally gives up the ghost.

Well, perhaps, it might be better to have the program installed on this computer so I can train myself to use it on a computer which I am very familiar with.

However, before initiating anything, I must scrape together the funds to do so.

Also I would really appreciate a source of information on MVDA

Thanks for any info you can give me.

Ed,
