collapsed expanded?

I have Windows X P and JAWS 6.0.
Recently, I have been getting either a "collapsed" or "expanded"
announcement before JAWS reads my subject line in my Outlook Express.
It only happens with a few messages and I'm not sure why it occurs with
certain messages.
It's very annoying. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this announcement?
