Hi Drew,
Are you referring to the amount of available space? If so, select the drive in
question in My Computer, then press alt+enter to bring up its properties.
You'll see something that looks like this:

Local Disk (C:) Properties
General Tools Hardware Sharing Quota
Type: Local Disk
File system: NTFS
Used space: 33,772,154,880 bytes 31.4 GB
Free space: 212,106,137,600 bytes 197 GB
Capacity: 245,878,292,480 bytes 228 GB

Or, in the case of a storage card, you'll see something that looks like this:

Removable Disk (F:) Properties
General AutoPlay Tools Hardware Sharing
Type: Removable Disk
File system: RAW
Used space: 121,180,160 bytes 115 MB
Free space: 6,854,656 bytes 6.53 MB
Capacity: 128,034,816 bytes 122 MB

Hope this helps.

Tom

Subject: checking memory status on storage cards

  Dear list,
How do you check the memory status on a storage card or the hard drive? Is
there a Jaws key stroke? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
